ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Hasan Ali makes a mess of stumps, leaves Wayne Parnell searching for ball [Watch Video]

Wayne Parnell got bamboozled by a terrific delivery from Hasan Ali during Pakistan vs South Africa's ICC Champions Trophy 2017 clash

Hasan Ali was far from impressive against India in the much-awaited clash of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on June 4 but he sure made amends for it with this delivery. After taking the wicket of in-form batsmen Faf du Plessis and Jean-Paul Duminy, Ali bowled a delivery that stunned Wayne Parnell. He got two in two wickets as he knocked off the stumps of Parnell with an outswinger that turned out to be too good for the left-handed batsman. Ali pushed South Africa on the back foot with his brilliant performance with the ball in the 29 the over.

Parnell who came out to bat after Duminy’s wicket got out for a golden duck. Parnell did not know that happened to him as he played down the wrong line altogether. It was not just the way he batted but the brilliance of the delivery that bowled him all hands up.

Ali delivered that ball coming round the wicket and deceiving Parnell with the angle of the ball and making him play through the wrong line and away from the trajectory of the ball.

Ali ended up with magical bowling figures as he got 3 wickets for 34 in 8 overs including a maiden. It can be considered as a perfect comeback when compared to the way he bowled against India giving away 70 runs in 10 overs and picking up just one wicket and also dropping a catch.

Pakistan’s fantastic bowling enforced a batting collapse for the Proteas as they could only manage to score a lowly 219 for 8 in 50 overs and that too after David Miller rescued them with his belligerent knock of 75.
