Brendon McCullum shares an emotional message on Twitter after son Riley makes him proud!

Brendon McCullum is currently playing for Rangpur Riders in Bangladesh Premier League 2017 with 112 runs in 6 innings

Brendon McCullum and Riley McCullum might be the next popular father-son sports duo in the future as the young lad is already performing well in the regional tournaments. Recently, the young gentleman became the MVP (most valuable player) of the year of the Under-14 regional tournament with his all-round performance.

Brendon McCullum is currently playing for Rangpur Riders in Bangladesh Premier League 2017.

Riley seemed to have hit a purple patch in 2017 with a batting average of 22.93 and a bowling average of 18.53. His fielding statistics are not bad either. He became the MVP of the year with an overall rating of 45.76, way ahead of the second placed player.

Riley visited India too earlier in the year when Brendon played for Gujarat Lions (GL) in Indian Premier League (IPL). The youngster met Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and GL players as well.

While the junior McCullum was busy making his son proud, Brendon McCullum played for Rangpur Riders in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2017. Brendon scored 43 runs from 38 balls at a strike rate of 113.15 featuring 4 fours and 2 sixes.

He helped his team get off to a good start despite losing Chris Gayle’s wicket in the first over only. He anchored the innings till the 15th over and helped his team get closer to the target. Rangpur Riders won the match by 4 wickets with 2 balls to spare.
