Anil Kumble-Virat Kohli rift: KRK's new controversy, calls Virat Kohli a 'Corrupt' cricketer

The self proclaimed film, sports critic KRK has sparked a new controversy by calling India's cricket team captain Virat Kohli a 'corrupt'

The self proclaimed film, sports critic Kamaal R Khan, aka KRK, has sparked a new controversy by calling India’s cricket team captain Virat Kohli a ‘corrupt’. KRK’s this comment came days after former India’s leg-spinner Anil Kumble resigned from the post of team India’s head coach following a ‘rift’ with the skipper.

KRK, who loves to remain in news through his comments on social media site, took to Twitter to express his opinion on the Virat Kohli-Anil Kumble rift and said: “Kumble is honest man so of course Virat will love to have Ravi Shashtari as coach coz he is big corrupt like Kohli.”

Earlier on June 20, a veteran of 132 Tests, Anil Kumble resigned after the BCCI informed him that the Indian skipper (Virat Kohli) had reservations with his ‘style’ and about his continuing as the head coach.

In his Facebook page Anil Kumble mentioned, “I was informed for the first time yesterday by the BCCI that the captain had reservations with my ‘style’ and about my continuing as the head coach. I was surprised since I have always respected the role boundaries between captain and coach. Though the BCCI attempted to resolve the misunderstandings between the captain and me, it was apparent that the partnership was untenable, and I therefore believe it is best for me to move on.”

As coach, Anil Kumble won 12 of 17 Tests and never lost a Test series at the helm. In the shorter format, Kumble coached India to the final of the just–concluded ICC Champions Trophy, where the men-in-blue were outplayed by arch-rivals Pakistan.

India team is currently in West Indies to play 5 One Day Internationals and a Twenty20 International match. The series will kick-start from June 23.

In place of Anil Kumble, team’s general manager M.V. Sridhar will supervise the Indian squad for the West Indies tour.
