Rayudu's '3D' Tweet For Selectors After Being Excluded From WC Squad Is Making Twitter LOL

Am I the only one who heard hooting in the background after reading Ambati Rayudu's savage tweet?

Before BCCI announced India’s 15-man squad for World Cup 2019, Ambati Rayudu looked was the likely No.4 batsman out of the lot. But Rayudu’s exclusion from the squad raised many eyebrows as Vijay Shankar has replaced him as the new No.4. The 33-year-old was pretty unlucky to miss out on the spot despite having a batting average of 47.05.

Even as fans were struggling to figure out why he had excluded, Rayudu was dealing with things differently. A day after the selection, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player put out a tweet overflowing with sarcasm aimed at selector MSK Prasad,

If you missed the wordplay in the tweet, Prasad’s explanation to replace Rayudu with Shankar will help you understand better,

“We did give a few more chances to Rayudu but Vijay Shankar gives three dimensions. He can bat, if the conditions are overcast, he can bowl, plus he is a fielder. We are looking at Vijay Shankar as a No. 4.”

Twitter appreciated the sarcasm of India’s former No.4 contender:

Today, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be facing CSK in a group match. Hailing from Hyderabad, Rayudu knows the pitch in and out and it might be tough to get him out. We would have popcorn ready for the contest between him and Shankar as the former would have a point to prove. Provided Shankar gets a few overs in the middle.
