But the spotlight was on Ashish Nehra even before the first ball had been bowled. It was an end to an 18-year-old career that saw the coveted World Cup victory in 2011 as well. Ashish Nehra has played under numerous captains ranging from Sourav Ganguly to Virat Kohli. He may not have been the best pacer of his times but he has made priceless contributions at different points in Indian cricket.

Nehra has featured in 120 matches and picked up 157 wickets. As a bowler, he was renowned for his accuracy, pace and subtle variations in his deliveries. Nehra had the ability to move the ball off the wicket and a devastating late in-swinger that made him a lethal bowler.
