'Birthday Boy' Ravindra Jadeja gets 'hate' tweets as his 'no ball' denies India a crucial wicket

Ravindra Jadeja's no ball fiasco continues as he got a wicket of two no balls on the final day of the third Test at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium

Ravindra Jadeja got the wicket of two Sri Lankan batsmen on not just one but two occasions during the third Test against Sri Lanka, but, both the deliveries were no-balls. For a spinner, bowling a no ball is considered as a crime because they don’t take a long run up or run in fast to deliver the ball.

Jadeja almost got the wicket of Dinesh Chandimal in the 44th over but the decision was reversed because it was a no-ball. Chandimal’s wicket could have been a crucial wicket for India as he was stitching a partnership with Dhananjaya de Silva.

The Sri Lankan skipper is confident that a century in the first innings might create a few problems for Indian bowlers on Day 5. Umpire Joe Wilson seems to be at fault too as he could not spot the no-ball, twice. Angelo Mathews could have been at the crease if not for Wilson’s ignorance.

Twitterati did not seem to like it one bit as they bashed the ‘birthday boy’ for his faux pas.Umpire Wilson too faced the wrath of Twitterati.

Here are a few tweets:

Jadeja’s overstepping problem has been prevalent in recent times. In Nagpur Test, Jadeja got the wicket of Dimuth Karunaratne but it was overturned because of the no-ball.
