Arjun Tendulkar started off 2018 with an all-round performance and that too in Australia

Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, who is currently playing for Cricket’s Club of India in Spirit of Cricket Global Challenge in Australia organised by Sydney Cricket Ground. Tendulkar Jr. hit the headlines with his all-round show against Hong Kong Cricket Club at Sir Don Bradman’s home ground in Bowral.

Arjun’s all-round performance defined the game as he picked up 4 wickets with his left-arm fast bowling and scored a quickfire knock of 48 runs from just 27 balls. The 18-year-old’s Australian debut turned out to be successful as he got attention from the Australian media.

While talking to abc.net.au, Arjun said,

I just got stronger [growing up], grew taller and I loved bowling fast from my childhood. I thought I may as well be a quick bowler because there aren’t many in India. I don’t take that pressure, when I bowl I just hit the deck hard on every ball and when I bat just play my shots and choose which bowlers to take on and which bowlers not to.
