You might have seen many Bollywood celebrities working for Several NGOs and helping poor people, but you will be surprised to know that few of them allegedly misbehaved with their maids. Yes, you read that right. A Mumbai-based start-up named BookMyBai has imposed a ban on Bollywood celebrities after receiving many complaints from their employees. Co-founder Anupam Sinhal announced the decision of banning the celebrities in an extended blog post on the organization’s website.
In his post, he has been quoted as saying, “We all are fans of some celebrity or other. We look up to them. They become role models. Some of them also get prestigious national awards for their work. BookMyBai has worked very closely with a lot of Bollywood celebrities and provided them with a good domestic help in Mumbai and other cities and our experience have not been less than horrendous”.
Without revealing the names of the celebrities, the blog post also witnessed some examples in which he explained that how they misbehaved with the BookMyBai employees and even explained that how the maids being physically abused and not being given food to eat. Further explaining his step of banning the celebrities from using BookMyBai services, he told DNA that they took up this decision after a lot of thought and in the past few months, they have had received several complaints from maids about celebrities not behaving well. He further said that celebrities feel that since they are popular and have money and influence, they can do anything.

BookMyBai an online platform provides domestic help in four major cities including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata.
