Telangana MP's Son Accused Of Sexually Harassing 11 Students At His College

The victims along with their families approached Progressive Organisation of Women (POW) in Nizamabad

As many as 11 first-year-students pursuing B.Sc. programme in nursing at a private college have accused its owner D Sanjay, son of TRS Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas, of sexually harassing them.

The victims along with their families approached Progressive Organisation of Women (POW) in Nizamabad and alleged that Sanjay had been harassing them with his behaviour and remarks since they joined the course in December last year.

POW president Sandhya along with the girls met Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and narrated their ordeal. Meanwhile, the Home Minister has directed DGP Mahender Reddy to accept a formal complaint by the POW and look into the matter, The News Minute reported.

“A week ago, a student sustained bruises after slipping in the hostel building. In the guise of helping her, he misbehaved with her,” Ms. Sandhya said as reported by The Hindu.

The former Nizamabad mayor also took the injured student along with another student to his house and made sexual advances towards them, the report adds.

The allegations have come amid reports that Sanjay’s father Srinivasis is being forced to exit the TRS.

“Sanjay is quite notorious and there already are pending sexual harassment cases against him. There are 13 girls in the first year of BSc Nursing at that college in all, and 11 of them approached us at our office and gave a complaint against Sanjay,” the Pow president Sandhya was quoted as saying by The News Minute.
