Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion movie review: Prabhas & Rana Dagubatti’s epic face off is completely worth the wait

It would be completely fair to say that SS Rajamouli has lived up to the expectations with Baahubali: The Conclusion

What can one write about the movie that was awaited for almost two years? And frankly, who cares about the review of Baahubali: The Conclusion. The truth is that this movie is expected to deliver a cinematic experience like none other. And it does. SS Rajamouli has lived up to the expectations with Baahubali: The Conclusion and has done justice to all that he promised with the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning.

Baahubali: The Conclusion picks up where the first part left, something that all of us know by now. What we don’t know that SS Rajamouli has taken strong references from the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. Now, all of us know who the Ram/Yudhishthira is and who is Ravana/Duryodhana. The movie is all about the good winning over evil.Rana Daggubati in Baahubali 2

We all have heard similar stories like this since time immemorial. So what makes Baahubali: The Conclusion, truly one of a kind? It is the grandeur of the movie. For this, the entire credit goes to SS Rajamouli. He made sure to keep in mind the intricacies and his eye for detail brought only perfection on screen. Another point worth noting is Baahubali: The Conclusion has ample of close up shots. This trick used by the makers increased the opulence and grandeur of the movie multi-fold.Sivagami in Baahubali 1

Keeping the VFX and the level of grandeur aside and speaking of the performances, be ensured that you would become a die-hard fan of every actor after this. The amount of dedication that these stars have shown for this movie is what has made this one truly beautiful. Be it Prabhas as Amrendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali or Rana Daggubati as Bhallala Deva, both the actors perfectly got into the skin of their respective characters. A special mention needs to be given to Devasena, played by Anushka Shetty. The warrior princess is a perfect amalgamation of beauty and brains and knows how to stand up for herself. She is Amrendra’s soulmate in every sense and we are glad her character came across so well. Mentioning about another strong female character in the movie, Sivagami has exuded royal charm with authority. Her demeanour is something that had been missing from the silver screen for a long time now.

It is worth noting that Rajamouli brought to notice another shade of Kattappa (played by Sathyaraj) through this movie. A funny man Kattappa would make you laugh and his dedication for Baahubali will bring tears to your eyes.

Not that one needs any reason to watch Baahubali: The Conclusion, but if we had to give one reason for the same- it would be for the grandeur of this movie.
