What Happened Between AB de Villiers & Virat Kohli After RCB's Loss To SRH

Fans hope RCB comes back with a win soon

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is going through a rough phase and both fans and players seem nonplussed about the reason. After being defeated by 118 runs in a T20, the team’s confidence is expectedly at an all-time low, especially as this was their third consecutive loss.

Big guns like AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Moeen Ali failed to make an impact, and Virat Kohli was obviously not pleased at the massive defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

De Villiers shared the almost negligible exchange he had with Kohli in the team bus after the match. The former South African cricketer wrote in The Times Of India:

“It just so happened that Virat Kohli and I were sitting beside each other on RCB bus back to the hotel after our emphatic defeat against Sunrisers in Hyderabad. He looked at me. I looked at him. There was nothing to say. This was not what we expected. We have been together as a squad for more than two weeks now, and we have worked exceptionally hard. Our preparation has been excellent, and the team feels balanced. No question, we should be winning matches. And yet, we are not winning. We’ve played three and lost three, and RCB supporters are rightly concerned by the prospect of another disappointing season.”

For a duo who have shared several century partnerships and taken their team home, and for a captain who is always charged up, this was something fans couldn’t have expected. However, they will be hoping that the team ends the drought with a win soon enough.
