5 reasons why Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol could be his 4th all-time blockbuster in a row

Mohanlal is enjoying a dream run with a hat-trick of all-time blockbusters. Here are 5 reasons why Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol could be his 4th hit

The much-awaited Mohanlal starrer, Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol is finally releasing tomorrow, 20th January. Directed by Vellimoonga fame Jibu Jacob, the film is produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. It was earlier scheduled to release during Christmas last year but got postponed owing to the three-week long strike between Kerala Film Producers Association and Kerala Exhibitors Association.

While Mohanlal is enjoying a dream run with a hat-trick of all-time blockbusters, InUth brings to you five reasons why Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol could be actor’s fourth all-time blockbuster in the row.

1) Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol marks the collaboration of one of the celebrated Malayalam couple, Mohanlal and Meena, after their 2013 blockbuster Drishyam. Interestingly, similar to Drishyam, both the actors will be donning Christian characters in the film as a married couple, Ulahannan and Annyamma. Apart from Drishyam, the star duo was also seen in many blockbusters including Varnapakittu, Balettan, Nattu Rajavu and Udayananu Tharam.

2) Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol marks the second directorial outing of cinematographer-turned-director Jibu Jacob. His directorial debut, Vellimoonga, a political satire, written by himself was the sleeper Malayalam hit of 2014. The film is produced by Sophia Paul, the lady filmmaker who had bankrolled one of the biggest Malayalam hits of all-time, Bangalore Days.

3) Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol is Mohanlal’s fourth Malayalam release in a span of 142-calendar-days. The four-time National award winner’s previous three releases, Telugu film Janatha Garage and Malayalam films Oppam and Pulimurugan turned out to be all-time blockbusters at the Box Office. Interestingly, Janatha Garage became 2016’s highest Tollywood grosser while Pulimurugan and Oppam became all-time number one and all-time third industry hits of Malayalam cinema.

4) Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol also marks the second Malayalam outing of Kannada actress Neha Saxena. Her portrayal of Susan in her debut film, Mammooty starrer Kasaba was well received by the audience. The film also stars Jacobinte Swargarajyam fame Aima Rosmy Sebastian and Bhaskar The Rascal fame Sanoop Santhosh as Mohanlal’s kids.

5) The trailer and music of Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol have become a clean hit among the audience and there is no doubt that the film is all set for a big opening tomorrow. Mohanlal’s comic timing and a one-liner in the trailer prove that the actor is all set to continue last year’s terrific form in Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol as well.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol also stars an ensemble star cast including Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley Lopez, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sharafudheen, Srindaa, Sudheer Karamana and Bindu Panicker
