‘Rockstar’ Ranbir Kapoor turned a year older this year. The Kapoor lad has traveled a long way in shedding his chocolate boy image by opting for unconventional roles. Be it the character of a politician in Rajneeti or that of a man struggling to realize his dreams in Tamasha, Ranbir Kapoor has gone from strength to strength with every role.
Here are nine things that you can learn from the Kapoor lad:
His down-to-earth attitude
Ranbir Singh was hailed as the next Bollywood superstar following the phenomenal success of his movie – ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani‘. However, in an interview, he said that he was not in the industry to beat anyone but to keep doing good work. “I am not here in the industry to beat anyone. I am here to do good work and make a name for myself, earn respect. I don’t believe in this term of being the ‘next superstar,” he had said.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were a ‘thing’ when they started dating while shooting for ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno‘. Three years later rumors started surfacing that Ranbir had cheated on DP. While at first, the star remained silent, he later confessed, “Yes, I have, out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness”.
Love for family
Ranbir Kapoor is a total cutie. He loves his family and values what his parents have done for him. “I’m really close to my mother. She sacrificed a lot for me and my sister. She gave up her career. Whatever I am today is due to the values my mother instilled in me,” he had said in an interview.
How to besties with an ex
Chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor and DP are one of few couples in the B-town who share a good bond even after their breakup. “Deepika is my comfort. She is my daal chawal. When I’m with her I feel like I’ve come back home,” he said about Deepika in an interview.
He isn’t afraid to experiment
While most actors play it safe, the Kapoor lad isn’t scared to experiment with the kind of roles that he picks up. From a lost college-going kid in ‘Wake up Sid‘ to a struggling salesman in ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year‘, he has done it all.
He believes in the power of love
Even with his broken relationships, Ranbir Kapoor believes in the power of love. “Personally, love is important for me. There are a lot of ordinary things in life, so love should be extraordinary. I hope I achieve that” he had said in an interview.
He is full of gratitude
While many people of his stature might not be thankful for the things that they have, but not Ranbir. “It’s all because of my parents that I am gifted with such good looks and people get attracted to me,” he said in an interview.
