Milind Soman, the Ironman of India is the synonym of fitness. A model, an actor and the founder of Pinkathon Empowering Indian Women, Milind is an inspiration to many. Pinkathon is a women’s marathon to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle for women and issues like breast cancer. And the actor says that “It is not just a run, it is a seed of change and a celebration of a healthy lifestyle for women”. Even at the age of 50, Milind Soman is fit as a fiddle and promotes a holistically healthy lifestyle. From running barefoot to covering unimaginable distances, he is truly a role model for all.

Not just Milind, his mother Usha Soman is also a fitness lover. A former biochemist and teacher, she took up trekking at the age of 60 and even today at the age of 78, she can do planks better than any gym goer. She came into limelight after a video of her running barefoot with son Milind at The Great India run went viral on the internet and that too in a saree.

Milind Soman, who is now an active fitness promoter and a marathon runner, says he has never bothered about his calorie intake and eats a lot, including three kilos of fruit every day. One thing he avoids is foods that contain processed sugar and this is the secret of his fitness.

Well, now we know where Milind gets his inspiration from. And if this doesn’t motivate you to start working out, then nothing will!
