It is very common in our imperfect society to be body shamed and ridiculed for being fat. It’s like being fat is a crime and people take it as their own responsibility to make sure everyone who is on the heavier side of the scale gets informed on a regular basis (sometimes even multiple times a day) about it. If you are fat, you are automatically deemed as being less attractive. Accept it, people come in all shapes and sizes. It might be true that being slim and fit increases one’s confidence by x times, but let’s be clear about one thing that being fat is not always a choice. In fact, constantly reminding a person of their inability to lose weight is demotivating. However, we have something that might motivate you. Alia Bhatt: Once a chubby girl, Alia Bhatt is indeed riding high on success. But it was never easy for her. Before entering Bollywood, Alia Bhatt worked hard on herself and reduced quite a few kilos. She weighed 68 kilos before she went on a weight loss journey and she managed to shed around 20 kgs. Alia not only followed an intense workout regime but she also made sure to have a balanced diet.

Sonam Kapoor, who is the ‘Style Icon’ of Bollywood, used to be fat. She reduced 30 kgs before entering the film industry. It took her two years to transform herself. She not only followed a strict diet but also practiced yoga for at least 3 hours a day.
