Chhath Puja: Easy recipe to make thekuas

Thekuas taste best with hot milk

Chhath Puja is not complete without thekuas. How can a festival be complete, if there is no traditional Bihari sweet! It is not that you can eat thekuas only in Chhath, you can even have them as supper with milk. Oh boy! They taste really good. So if you have missed eating thekua this festive season, here we bring you a quick and easy recipe.

Ingredients

300 gm wheat flour
2 tbsps chopped dry coconut
50 gm ghee
150 gm sugar
½ cup hot water
1 packet cooking oil
Dry fruits

  • Mix wheat flour, dry coconut, sugar, dry fruits and 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan
  • Use hot water to make a dough out of the mix
  • Make small roundels and fry them in oil
  • Fry thekuas until they are golden brown

Note: You can use jaggery syrup instead of sugar to make jaggery thekuas.
