Varanasi Now Has Its Own 5-Star Cruise Service

The 2-hour luxury trip would cost around Rs 750.

For anyone who loves to visit Varanasi, one of the most enriching experiences for him/her undoubtedly would be the boat ride on the river Ganga. But here is something luxurious which the city now has to offer for all the tourists and pilgrims. Alaknanda, a five-star luxury cruise service was inaugurated in the city on Sunday. The ceremony was conducted at Khirkiya ghat in the presence of chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

The double-decker boat has a 450 bhp engine, the lower deck is fully air-conditioned while the upper deck is a restaurant. The luxury boat can carry 90 passengers at a time and will visit all 84 ghats of Varanasi. The 2-hour luxury trip would cost around Rs 750. Alaknanda was made at a cost of Rs 1 crore. It is operated by a startup Nordic Cruise Line, a start-up venture.
