A bride in Bihar called off her wedding after the groom turned up drunk at the venue. The incident happened last week in Chhapra district when the groom, Bablu Kumar reached the spot, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. When he sat at the mandap, he started misbehaving with everyone which reportedly infuriated the bride. She immediately decided to call off her wedding. Despite repeated persuasions by both the families, the brave woman stuck to her stand.
The groom was later arrested as Bihar banned the sale, purchase and storage of liquor in 2016. His family was allowed to leave only after they returned the dowry they had received. Ironically, no case was slapped on them for demanding dowry.
