Swaraj, who is on a three-nation trip to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, is working towards the betterment of India’s strategic relationship with resource-rich Central Asian countries. The minister was floored at being regaled by the  familiar tunes of the popular Bollywood number from the Uzbek woman. The video went viral after it was tweeted by Raveesh Kumar, official of Ministry of External Affairs.

In the video the Uzbek woman is heard singing the song, which was originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh, and the Minister can be seen grinning at the unexpected event.

Bollywood is insanely popular in Uzbekistan, and Raj Kapoor especially has a fervent fan-base there. The video is an example of how Bollywood melodies continue to be a favourite beyond our borders as well.
