#SelfieWithStrayCow: How Noida Residents Are Ensuring Safer Roads

As western UP struggles to tackle the rising menace of stray cattle, the residents in Noida have come up with a unique idea.
People are clicking selfies with stray cows and are uploading it on social media with hashtag #SelfieWithStrayCow. In their social media posts, they are tagging the concerned authorities so as to draw their attention to the issue. The initiative was started by Amit Gupta, a city-based citizen activist to ensure animal safety & cleaner surroundings. In January, UP CM Yogi Adityanath directed senior district officials to construct cow shelters to make sure roads are free of stray cattle.
