Sacred Games, Radhika Apte Nominated For International Emmy Awards

The announcement of nominations for International Emmy Awards has brought happiness for India.
Netflix’s first Indian original web series Sacred Games, film Lust Stories and Amazon Prime Video’s The Remix are competing for the prestigious award.
Sacred Games Season 1, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan, has been nominated in the Drama Category. The crime thriller, directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikram Motwane, was a huge hit in India. It will be battling for the award against Brazil’s Contra Todos, Germany’s Bad Banks and UK’s McMafia.

Lust Stories has been nominated in the Miniseries category. The film has four short film segments directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar.
Radhika Apte, who stars in Lust Stories,  has been nominated for Best Performance by an actress alongside  Jenna Coleman (BBC’s The Cry), Marjorie Estiano (Brazil’s Sob Pressão Season 2) and Marina Gera in (Hungary’s Orok Tel).
The Remix is competing in non-scripted entertainment category with nominees from Argentina, Belgium, and the UK.

The 47th International Emmy Awards will be held on November 25 at the Hilton in New York.
