Here's all you need to know about the E-Manipur app that might decide the 2017 poll outcome

Some of the features and application of the app will be introduced for the first time not only in Manipur but also in India

Amid all chaos and confusion, Manipur 2017 poll decided to go digital. The state government launched a new app known as “E Manipur” which will provide vital information about the candidates and the forthcoming election.

In the app, some of the features and application are said to be introduced for the first time not only in the state but also in the country which has been revealed by Ramayan, the project head of the app. The app was launched on the occasion of the 7th Voters day of the state by O Nabakumar, the Chief Secretary of Manipur.

A similar kind of app was first launched during 2016 Bihar and West Bengal election.

This app has been designed by Software Education and Resource Private Limited, consists of four easy and unique features and is easily downloadable and user-friendly in nature, said Ramayan.

Meanwhile, as technology has become the hot topic of the state, Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi’s son Surajkumar Singh Ibobi, 29, and one of the youngest candidate in the history of Manipur election, who is contesting the elections from the Khangabok constituency, revealed his plan to develop the state by introducing various modern technology and digitisation if he gets elected.

Nevertheless, Irom Sharmila’s party PRJA, which is also a youth-led party, is using social media to spread its word and acquire attention.

33-year-old Erendro Leichombam, a graduate of Harvard University, who has worked in world bank, USA, has joined PRJA as a conveyor. PRJA, which has been launched as India’s first crowd funding Political party is using various mode of campaigns to attract locals and also to grab the attention of the NRIs for the forthcoming Assembly polls.

Manipur poll dates are divided in two phase 4th and 7th March respectively.
