A Mumbai based lensman uploaded a video of Khomdram singing bollywood songs and narrating his life, which caught the attention of  his relative.

Nearly forty years after Khomdram Singh went missing from his village near Imphal, the 66-year-old was reunited with his family, thanks to the power of internet.

A Mumbai based lensman uploaded a video of Khomdram singing bollywood songs and narrating his life which caught the attention of his relative.

The family was unaware of Singh’s whereabouts for 40 long years until their nephew, Romen Leichombam, brought a video of a grey haired and bearded man singing old songs to their notice, Indian Express reported. The family members thought it could be their missing Khomdan and approached the Imphal police, which got in touch with their counterparts in Mumbai.

The sexagenarian had served the Indian army for seven years. It’s believed that he left home after he went into depression following a disastrous marriage.

“They sent a photo of the young Singh to us. Based on that, we located the person at the Bandra railway station and brought him to the police station,” NDTV quoted a police official as saying. On Tuesday, Khomdram was united with his family at a Mumbai Police station.
