KBC Winner Made Poll Campaign Ambassador In Maharashtra

Babita Tade who won Rs 1 crore at Kaun Banega Crorepati (2019) has been appointed election campaign ambassador from Amravati district in Maharashtra.
The move is a part of the Election Commission’s Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme which aims to promote voting awareness. Babita, who works as mid-day meal cook in a government school shot to fame last month after winning the whopping amount at the 11th season of the quiz show.
She has been chosen as the district ambassador to reach out to people and make them aware about the importance of voting, Amravati zilla parishad’s chief executive officer Manisha Khatri said.
“I will try to connect to the masses, specially in villages, and urge them to come out in large numbers to exercise their democratic right,” said Babita, an Amaravati resident.
Maharashtra will go to vote on October 21.
