Amid uproar over a picture posted by Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami along with his wife Hasin Jahan wearing a sleeveless dress, legendary Indian lyricist Javed Akhtar on December 26 came out with a befitting reply on twitter. He tweeted in support of Shami calling all the people as senseless who trolled his picture and made unethical comments on it.
The dress that Mrs Shami is wearing is extremely elegant and dignified . Any one who has any problem with it is sick in his mind .

Soon after that all the happiness and elation was washed out as people started trolling him commenting on the picture. Some partisans even called it ‘Un-Islamic’. Many people questioned Mohammed Shami on the dress his wife was wearing and even went on to suggest him of having a control of what his wife wears. However the Most funny and repulsive part of this sleazy criticism is that no one considered Shami’s wife equal enough and questioned her on the outfits she sported. All the comments were directed toward Shami and not his wife which is the sheer indication on inequality and sexism.
Ultimately, what one opts to wear or not to wear is completely his or her own decision and not anyone else’s. Hence commenting on the pictures like this and unnecessarily trolling it is completely unethical.
