Indian judiciary achieved a remarkable feat on Thursday after senior lawyer Indu Malhotra became the first woman judge of Supreme court who was chosen directly from the bar.
Malhotra’s name was unanimously cleared by a Collegium of top judges. The appointment makes her the 7th woman judge. of the apex court since India’s freedom
62-year-old Malhotra has been practicing law since last three decades.
