In Just A Year, 21 Indian Cities Will Run Out Of Groundwater

By 2030, 40% of India's population won't have access to clean drinking water.

As India battles acute water crisis, this NITI Aayog report paints an alarming situation. According to Composite Water Management Index report 2018, 21 cities in India will run out of ground water by 2020. Over 10 crore people will be affected across India including major Indian cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. With several bodies drying up, the situation is pretty dire in Chennai. By 2030, 40% of India’s population won’t have access to clean drinking water. By 2050, the demand for water will exceed the supply. Urgent and improved’ management of water resources is the need of the hour and we all need to pitch in for it to be successful
