A 235-year old Danish tavern in Serampore, which is located nearly 25km from Kolkata, has been resurrected from the ruins. The Denmark Tavern is being restored to its former glory by Danish National Museum in association with the West Bengal Heritage Commission.
The project costing nearly 3-5 crores will house a cafeteria, a handicraft shop. It will also have lodging facilities.
The iconic Danish Tavern will open doors to the public in February 2018.
