Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte is getting a lot of love for his humble yet simple gesture in the Parliament. Recently, he accidentally spilled his cup of coffee. But he took everyone by surprise when he picked up a mop and cleaned the floor by himself thus managing to get everyone’s applause.
But in India, our netas aren’t exactly known for their humility and simplicity. Here you would find them doing all sorts of ‘unparliamentary’ behaviour. Be it publicly assaulting government officials for doing their duty or even making security officials clean their shoes, our political leaders have been doing it all.
It’s high time we take some lessons from Mr Rutte, isn’t it?
