A Human Calculator: This 12-year-old can solve sums of crores in seconds

Meet Chirag Rathi, the 12-year-old boy from UP's Saharanpur who can recite tables up to 20 crore

How fast can you calculate when you are asked to multiply 1224 with 225? Probably it would take 20-30 seconds or a minute if you are good at it. But Saharanpur’s Chirag Rathi can calculate it in a span of 2 to 3 seconds.

A student of Jai Singh Public School in Tirpari village, the 12-year-old can recite tables upto 20 crores.

The child prodigy idolises mathematics genius Aryabhata and wants to become a scientist.

In his leisure time, he plays cricket and loves watching MS Dhoni play his signature helicopter shot.

The 12-year-old is fondly called Kanha at his home. The teenager’s quiet demeanour sets him apart from the rest of his classmates.

Speaking to Inuth.com, school’s principal Vishwas Kumar said Chirag deserves to be named in the Guinness book of world records.

“We had also approached Limca book of Records and sent a video showcasing his skills but did not receive any response.”

The school has also set new target for Chirag as the child prodigy will be learning intermediate level mathematics in next three months.
