23-Year-Old Mumbaikar Becomes The First Woman To Cross Atlantic In Solo Flight

She achieved the feat  after clocking 120 hours of flying covering 37,000 km across 18 countries. 

Aarohi Pandit, a 23-year-old woman from Mumbai has just made history by becoming the world’s first woman pilot to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a solo flight when she landed at Canada’s Iqaluit airport. She achieved the feat  after clocking 120 hours of flying
covering 37,000 km across 18 countries. Aarohi began her expedition in July 2018  from Patiala in Punjab. Initially, she was joined by Keithair Misquitta, a fellow pilot who accompanied her till Greenland. She flew Ultralight Sinus 192, a lightweight two-seater plane which was nicknamed ‘Mahi’ after undergoing a seven-month training. She is set return to India by July 2019
