After a long arduous wait of eight years, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai family is back to enthral the ardent fans of the show. From the very first frame of the episode, it is the banter of Monisha (Rupali Ganguly) and Maya Sarabhai (Ratna Pathak Shah) that envisage a standout performance. The first few minutes of the movie are spent in taking us a trip down memory lane and remind us of the characters that we loved so much.
Even though they were stuck in a hanging bus that would fall off the cliff any second, the Sarabhais did not lose their sense of humour. The first impression left on the mind is that water might have flown under the bridge but the Sarabhai family hasn’t changed a bit. Though they have managed to remain the same, the introduction of new characters has added to the fun. Now, we know that Maya and Monisha are poles apart but by introducing Arunabh (or Orunabh as Maya calls him), the son of Monisha and Sahil Sarabhai, the makers have managed to show a blend of these two characters.
The first episode showed the Sarabhai family embark on a journey; but obviously, their trip is not a normal one. The presence of Sarabhai family and their unique traits contribute to making the family trip a humorous watch.

While introducing the second season of the much-loved show, Sahil Sarabhai and his father Indravadan Sarabhai, concentrated on the fact that time has changed them. They might have shifted from their apartments to a penthouse, but the essence of the family is still the same. Probably, this is why even the grey hairs of Maya and Indravadan Sarabhai and the truth that Sahil and Monisha are now parents to a son, did not convince that this was the second season of the show.

One fact that goes unmissable in the first episode is Maya taking jibes at Monisha. Well, this is essentially the highlight of SVS and we hope it remains so in the coming days.
