The trailer of Sonakshi Sinha's Noor released a short while ago and it seems the movie will be refreshing in terms of content

For all those who thought Sonakshi Sinha didn’t pick meaty roles, Noor might stop their complaints. In the film, Sonakshi plays the role of a journalist, Noor Roy Chaudhary and it seems it is nothing like what she played before. The trailer of the film which was released a short while ago hints the movie is refreshing in terms of content.

Also starring comedian Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli in important roles, Noor chronicles the daily struggles of the protagonist. Sonakshi deserves lauds for portraying someone on screen with whom many girls would relate to.

Till now, we have seen Sonakshi be a part of hardcore action flicks. Many of her fans argued that Sonakshi is a peppy star on social media but failed to take up equally interesting roles for the silver screen. With Noor, her fans would be glad Sonakshi has taken on a different character.

In a bid to tell how relatable the character of Noor is to the youth, Sonakshi gave a sneak peek into her life a few days ago. She took to Twitter to share bits and pieces about Noor’s life. From getting hungover to travelling in the metro, the character Noor has done it all. The poster which was revealed recently, showed various aspects of Noor’s life, for example, how she hated being fat and how the city of dreams was treating her. Speaking about the film, Sonakshi in a recent interview said the film is inspired by the book- Karachi, You Are Killing Me. She said they have changed the background from Karachi to Mumbai. She added everyone would relate to the character and hoped Noor is liked as well.

Directed by Sunhil Sippy, Noor will release on 21 April.

Apart from Noor, Sonakshi Sinha will also be seen in Ittefaq with Sidharth Malhotra. This is the first time that Sonakshi and Sidharth will team up for the silver screen. The film which is a remake of Rajesh Khanna’s hit film will is helmed by B.R. Chopra’s grandson Abhay Chopra.
