Salman Khan fans have a reason to cheer. The trailer of Tubelight has been unveiled after a long wait. The Kabir Khan directorial releases on June 23. The promo was launched in Mumbai at an event wherein Salman Khan, Kabir Khan and Sohail Khan were present.

Produced by Salman and his mother Salma Khan, Tubelight is believed to be inspired by Hollywood flick Little Boy. The 51-year-old actor essays the role of a man named Laxman who is an emotional human being. He has a brother (Sohail Khan) who is a soldier. As fate would have it, Laxman’s world turns upside down after his sibling goes missing during the war. The film is Laxman’s quest for his missing brother and how he experiences various emotions during his journey.

Tubelight looks like a fresh emotional story set in the backdrop of 1962 Indo-China war. The film also hints at the character of Tubelight being blessed with some supernatural powers. Salman Khan, who is once again prepping to own the screens this Eid, seems to have taken a risk with this Kabir Khan film. His last film with the director, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, turned out to be a hit despite having the actor in a role which is not ‘typical’ Salman Khan. With Tubelight too, the actor has stepped into a zone where he does not really belong to.

The film also became the first Bollywood film to have a Facebook cover video and a Twitter emoji. The cover video has Salman dancing to the tune of his Radio song that was unveiled a few days ago.

A few days ago, the makers of Tubelight had unveiled the Radio song from the film that had sent the social media crazy. Salman’s dance moves were the talk of the town. Check out the song here.

Besides Salman, the war drama also features Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, late Om Puri and others. It also stars Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo. Check out the teaser of the film. It has earned a whopping 21 million views on YouTube.
