Everything is not well between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover. After an alleged brawl on board a flight from Melbourne to Mumbai, the rift between the two is out in the open. It is rumoured that Grover, who plays Dr Mashoor Gulati on The Kapil Sharma Show, might quit. However, Kapil has maintained that he will personally meet his co-actor and persuade him not to leave the show.
Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover have come a long way since they began sharing the stage on Comedy Nights With Kapil. The duo fell out in 2014 after Grover left the show to act in Mad in India. However, the hit pair was back again in The Kapil Sharma Show and enthralled the audience in a new avatar. He used to play Chutki in Comedy Nights, which established him as a household name. Nowadays, he plays a doctor named Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi which is liked by all.

When ‘Sultans’ Salman-Anushka laughed their hearts out: Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starred in 2016 wrestling drama Sultan which became a blockbuster. To promote their Ali Abbas Zafar directorial, the duo appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show and it was damn entertaining. In this episode, Salman could not control his laughter during a quiz game opposite Kapil who imitated Shatrughan Sinha. And there is Dr Gulati whose presence is like an icing on the cake.
When Kapil’s on-stage father-in-law became Geruafied: Before Sunil Grover began his second innings as Dr Gulati, he used to essay the role of Kapil’s father-in-law in Comedy Nights. In 2015, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Johnny Lever and Varun Sharma appeared on the show to promote their film Dilwale. It was Grover who went a step ahead and coloured himself with vermilion on the song Gerua. You could see how Kajol could not control her laughter as Grover won hearts with this act.

Well, the former Miss World did grace The Kapil Sharma Show to promote Diwali release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil along with co-stars Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. When filmmaker Karan Johar appeared on the show, the hapless doctor was forced to ride a cycle to come to the stage. He had consumed so much alcohol that he pronounced Kapil as Pakal Sharma. Isn’t it hilarious?
