The teaser of Mammootty’s The Great Father is slated to be released soon. Written and directed by debutant Haneef Adeni, the film has been produced by August Cinema – a joint production of Malayalam actor Prithviraj, director Santhosh Sivan, Tamil actor Arya and producer Shaji Nadeshan. The Great Father also marks the third Malayalam outing of Arya after Urumi and Double Barrel.
And now, the makers have finalized the teaser release date of their Mammootty starrer as the teaser of action-entertainer will be revealed on 10 February. Interestingly, the teaser of the film will be attached to producer Prithviraj’s upcoming film Ezra on the same date.
The Great Father will feature Mammootty in the titular role of David Nainan Vedippara, while Arya will be seen in the role of Andrews Eapen Umbakkal – a character with shades of grey. The film also stars Sneha, Baby Anikha of Bhaskar The Rascal fame, Shaam, Mia George, Malavika Mohanan, Manikandan Achari and IM Vijayan.
Meanwhile, Ezra is all set to be Prithviraj’s biggest Malayalam release till date. Touted to be a horror-thriller, the film also stars Priya Anand, Tovino Thomas and the 2015 Kerala state best actor winner Sudev Nair. The film has been extensively shot across Fort Kochi and Srilanka.
