Late last night, Shah Rukh Khan visited MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena ) leader Raj Thackeray’s residence in Mumbai. This meeting was held in context to his upcoming film Raees, which ran into trouble due to the casting of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
MNS recently protested against hiring Pakistani actors in Bollywood films after the unfortunate Uri attack that took place earlier this year. The protests affected Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which was released on 28 October. Only after did Chief Minister Devendra Fadnanvis intervene that the film had a smooth release at the Box Office.
King Khan, however, is in no mood to face similar consequences with Raees which is set to release in January next year and thus decided to meet Raj along with the film’s producer Ritesh Sidhwani to discuss Mahira’s involvement in the film.

While things seem to be on the track post the meeting, the results of the meeting will be seen only when the film hits the theater on 25 January.
