TV stars Karan Patel and Ankita Lokhande have a huge fan following outside India as well. These prominent faces of the television industry acted in a theatre in Indonesia and the pictures have made the fans go gaga over them. Karan and Ankita left the viewers enthralled with their performances. Not only this, their palpable chemistry is quite evident from the pictures that surfaced.
Held in Jakarta, the musical event was called Malam Ini. Ankita took to Instagram to share images from the event. Ankita captioned the image, “Never thought of doing theatre before but doing it now ..super excited and nervous too no retakes only 1 take..so here I come as KEN DEDES THE QUEEN so Indonesia see you tonite.”
In the show, Karan played the role of a king Ken Arok and Ankita essayed the role of princess Ken Dedes.
The kind of reception Ankita and Karan’s show received is a testimony to their popularity. Indian TV serials are quite popular in Indonesia. Many hit shows like Ye Hai Mohabbatien, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, Pavitra Rishta and Kumkum Bhagya are aired in the country.
Apart from Karan and Ankita, other stars namely Anita Hassanandani, Aly Goni and Ruhanika Dhawan also performed at the event. Stars Sriti Jha, Arjit Taneja, Shakti Arora, Shabbir Ahluwalia were also seen at the event.
It should be noted that after her split with Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita Lokhande had been keeping a low profile. There were rumours about her signing Bollywood films but looks like those rumours never materialised. Her break up with Sushant became one of the hot topics of discussions.
Back then Sushant had come to Ankita’s rescue when gossipmongers blamed her drinking habits for the split. Sushant had tweeted that this wasn’t the case and sometimes people drift apart without any reasons. He had also requested everyone to stop jumping to conclusions.
