Parineeti Chopra a certified scuba diver now, can dive up to 120 feet in open sea

"The feeling of weightlessness and seeing fish, sharks and colourful plants is surreal"

Actress Parineeti Chopra, who made her debut with Yash Raj Films Lady vs Ricky Bahl in 2011 has made it to headlines again. This time for her passion for scuba diving. The actress has now become a certified scuba diver. With this feat, the Ishaqzaade actress is now permitted to dive up to 40 meters or 120 feet in an open sea.

Exhilarated with this achievement, Parineeti said: “Diving is an exhilarating experience. The feeling of weightlessness and seeing fish, sharks and colourful plants is surreal. I now want to explore the sea at night. I’m told that dive is with lights and sea glows in fluorescent colours.”

Parineeti is not planning to stop here, she’s also thinking of taking an advance course in diving so that she could scuba-dive at night, too. “Every year, either for work or vacation, I travel to five-six places. I love meeting strangers on a boat, exploring the sea and sharing experiences with them. Diving is not as gruelling a sport as it is a leisure activity,” Parineeti was quoted as saying.

The actress added that she wants to dive in heavy currents and scuba dive in places such as New Zealand and the Galapagos Islands.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Parineeti is all set to make a debut on small screen with the much-awaited reality dancing show, Nach Baliye. She will be one of the judges of the show and the makers are hell bent on making it grander than ever. The grapevine suggests that it is not only Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra but Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha who is also being considered to judge Nach Baliye 8.
