In just two days of its release, Taapsee Pannu's Naam Shabana has done a good business and is going really strong at the box office

Taapsee Pannu’s latest release Naam Shabana is gaining appreciation by one and all. The film saw a decent opening at the box office on Friday and jumped over 24 percent on the second day of its release. Helmed by Shivam Nair and written by Neeraj Pandey, Naam Shabana is a spy thriller and is a prequel of 2015 hit film Baby.

The much-anticipated film is not only being loved by the audience but the film fraternity as well. In just two days of its release, the film has done a good business and is going really strong at the box office. Naam Shabana has done a business of Rs 5.12 crore on Friday and Rs 6.37 crore on Saturday, minting a total of Rs 11.49 crores so far.

Made on a budget of around 35 crores, the film got released in 2100 screens and is expected to do a great business in its first weekend. In fact, Naam Shabana’s first weekend collection has surpassed the figures of Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri’s.

Taapsee Pannu, who is getting all the positive feedback for her power packed performance in the film, underwent a rigorous workout routine to get into the skin of the character. From enrolling in kickboxing to joining other fitness classes, it looks like her hard work has finally paid off.

Apart from Taapsee, the film also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa, Eli Avram and South actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in important roles. And despite Akshay Kumar’s presence in the film, Naam Shabana completely belongs to Taapsee Pannu.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote:

Well, with such a great start it will be interesting to see how the film performs in the coming weeks.
