The first official look of Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly’s Sakhavu is out. Written and directed by actor-turned-National-award-winning-director Sidhartha Siva, Sakhavu is produced by B Rakesh under the banner of Universal Cinema. Touted to be a campus-political entertainer, the film stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Aparna Gopinath and Gayathri Suresh in the female lead roles. Veteran actor Sreenivasan will also essay an important role in the film.
The 35-second long teaser was revealed by Nivin Pauly on his Facebook page. Nivin Pauly quoted, “I have always been grateful and lucky for the wonderful characters that I have gotten so far. And equally lucky to have been accepted with so much love. In my next release, Sakhavu, I played a character who is now an inseparable part of me. A character I think u will just love!! Though we just hear people chanting the word Sakhavu in a black background, the final portions of the teaser shows the close-up glimpses of the Premam actor in his new look. The teaser ends by revealing its release date as 15 April 2017, on the auspicious occasion of Vishu.
The film tells the story of a young political worker, Krishna Kumar and how his life changes upside down after his visit to a medical college. Nivin Pauly portrays the character of Krishna Kumar in the film. Sakhavu also stars KPAC Lalitha, Joju George, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu and Sudheesh.
Nipin is also working on Althaf Salim’s Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela and Gautham Ramachandran’s Richie.
