Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol UK Box Office : Mohanlal starrer mints Rs 1 crore in 6 theatrical days

Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol released in just 78 screens across the UAE on Thursday and faced stiff competition from Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2

The first Mohanlal starrer of 2017, Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol has completed one-month of its theatrical run on Monday at the Kerala Box Office. The Jibu Jacob second directorial released on 20 January across the cinemas of Kerala. Produced by Bangalore Days maker Sophia Paul, the family entertainer starred Meena as the female lead. Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol also marks the Mohanlal-Meena duo after 2013 hit Drishyam.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol is continuing its glorious run overseas as well. And now, Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol has crossed Rs 1 crore mark at the UK Box Office, which is quite remarkable considering that the film had released there last Thursday.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol is enjoying a good run at UAE Box Office as well. The film which had released in just 78 screens across the UAE on Thursday had stiff competition from Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2, Suriya starrer Singam 3, Prithviraj’s Ezra and the Hollywood films Gold and The Last Face. But Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol easily tops all the films to be the numero-uno at the UAE Box Office.

Trade Analyst and Indian film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter on Sunday and wrote:


The film also starred Anoop Menon, Kasaba fame Neha Saxena, Alencier Ley Lopez, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sharafudheen, Srindaa, Sudheer Karamana, Bindu Panicker, Jacobinte Swargarajyam fame Aima Rosmy Sebastian and Bhaskar: The Rascal fame Sanoop Santhosh.

Meanwhile, Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol continued to do remarkable business at the Kerala Box Office despite a series of new films including Suriya’s Singam 3 and Prithviraj’s Ezra. The Lalettan starrer has also emerged as the first Malayalam blockbuster of 2017.
