The shooting of Malayalam actor Mohanlal’s Velipadinte Pusthakam is currently underway in Kerala. The film, set to be a comedy-drama features Lalettan in the titular role of a college professor named Michael Idikkula. Written by veteran scenarist, Benny P Nayarambalam and directed by Lal Jose, Velipadinte Pusthakam has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Drishyam and Oppam fame under his home banner Aashirvad Cinemas. The film will also see the first collaboration Mohanlal and Lal Jose.
Velipadinte Pusthakam was in news recently when the makers revealed the first look of the film on the occasion of Mohanlal’s birthday. The look featured the Malayalam actor looking super stylish sporting beard and glasses.
However, on Sunday, July 2, the makers revealed a new different look of Mohanlal from the film, which has now gone viral.
The Malayalam actor is seen in an interesting look which is almost similar to his Pulimurugan look, sporting a thick twirled moustache. Also, the new look features the actor donning kalabha/bhasma on his forehead, which seems to be prominent considering Mohanlal portrays a Christian character in Velipadinte Pusthakam.
Velipadinte Pusthakam also marks the second outing of Angamaly Diaries stars Reshma Rajan and Sarath Kumar. While Reshma Rajan essays the main female lead in the film, Sarath Kumar will be seen in a supporting role. The film also stars Salim Kumar, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Priyanka Nair and Shivaji Guruvayoor. The music of Velipadinte Pusthakam has been composed by Shaan Rahman while Godha fame Vishnu Sharma does the camera.
