Here's why Akshay Kumar signs Priyadarshan's films without even reading the scripts

Priyadarshan says that both Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal are the actors who sign his films without reading scripts. Here's what Khiladi Kumar has to say on it

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film, Jolly LLB 2 is slated for release on Friday. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film is a sequel to the 2015 hit film, Jolly LLB and features Huma Qureshi as the female lead.

Recently, in an interview given to CLUB FM UAE RJ, Sneha Unni Krishnan, director Priyadarshan stated that Malayalam actor Mohanlal and Akshay Kumar are the only two actors who are ready to sign his films without even reading the script. He also added that both the superstars are his most trusty friends in the film industry.

On Saturday then, Akshay Kumar himself revealed what makes him sign Priyadarshan films without reading the scripts. The Airlift actor was in Dubai to promote Jolly LLB 2 when he talked to Sneha on the same and said:

I respect Priyadarshan sir a lot. I think he is one of the best directors we have in India. And I’ll give you the reason on why do I sign his films without even reading the scripts. He is the only director in Hindi cinema or Malayalam cinema or any cinema in the world who has made 74 films and out of 74 films, 69 films turned out to be huge hits. So you can imagine what ratio that man goes with. I respect him a lot and I would go blindly with him. I know him very well. He is a genius.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar had collaborated with Priyadarshan for six films and all turned out to be successful at the Box Office. However, there is a small miss calculation in what Akshay Kumar said about the director, as Priyadarshan has so far directed 90 films and not 74, including Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil.
