Kerala Box Office: Honey Bee 2 fails to provide honey to the audience, opened to negative reports

Honey Bee 2: Celebrations has been criticised for its poor script and over acting performances from its main lead cast

The much awaited Malayalam film of the year, Honey Bee 2: Celebrations has released today. Jointly written by Lal and SGB Kottarakkara, the film was bankrolled under Lal’s home production, Lal Creations. The film also marks the third directorial outing of Lal’s son Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr. Honey Bee 2 is also a sequel to Lal Jr.’s debut film Honey Bee: It’s Tripping. Honey Bee 2 stars Asif Ali, Bhavana as main leads. The film also stars Sreenivasan, Bauburaj, Sreenath Bhasi, Archana Kavi and Joy Mathew.

Though the makers have released the film in more than 180 plus screens, at the Box Office, the film has a different story to tell.

Shockingly, Honey Bee 2 has opened to outright negative reviews at the Box Office.

As per the early Friday reports, Honey Bee fails to provide the honey to the audience as the film is reportedly made as a forced sequel just to earn money. The film has been criticised for its poor script and over acting performances from its main lead cast. The audience is completely disappointed with the second half of the film, which a few section of labelling it as a total blunder.

With Honey Bee 2 opening to poor reviews, now there is the advantage for another Asif Ali-starrer Take Off, which is scheduled to be released tomorrow at the Kerala Box Office. Take Off stars Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Nair as well.

Meanwhile, Honey Bee 2 will hit the screens of rest of India markets tomorrow.
