UNICEF’s goodwill ambassador, Priyanka Chopra is at a refugee camp in Jordan to educate the Syrian kids. The actress is on her maiden visit to Jordan under UNICEF’s initiative to provide education, water, health care and support to children in Syria and Syrian refugee children in Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt and Europe. The actress, who is currently juggling between her Bollywood and Hollywood projects took some time out from her busy schedule and spent quality time with the children.
PeeCee is quite regular when it comes to updating her fans about anything interesting in her life through her social media accounts. After sharing some heartwarming pictures from Jordan, in her latest Twitter post, the Bajirao Mastani actress made it a point and explained how Bollywood movies and their work gives people a sense of hope and relief in Syria. Though her post included several names including Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Salman Khan among others, it was Katrina Kaif who got a special mention in her tweet.
Sending her love to Katrina Kaif, the actress wrote: “Special shout out to one of India’s biggest movie stars #KatrinaKaif from Wafaa from Za’atari Refugee camp Jordan”

Further mentioning the names of Bollywood celebrities, an elated Priyanka said that she didn’t expect that their work gives this much of joy to the children of Syria. She wrote:
A big shout out to you all and Hindi movies from these amazing kids who are huge fans…our movies give them some much joy. This was something I honestly did not expect…but it made my day. Who would think that what we do as entertainers would give people a sense of hope, relief and escape in such dire circumstances? This post is for all my colleagues in the Entertainment Business around the world… know what we do sometimes has such a deep impact on people’s lives and goes beyond just the mere entertainment people look at us for.
