Salman Khan’s upcoming film Tubelight is making headlines not only for its being a Bhaijaan’s film but also for many other special elements that the film consists of. After declaring that the teaser of the film will be released by the end of April, the makers have now confirmed that the trailer of Tubelight will be out in May.
Helmed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight is the third collaboration between the filmmaker and Salman after giving us blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. While the marketing and promotions of Bollywood films these days begin months before their release, Kabir doesn’t believe in following the same track.
The release date of Tubelight is June 23 this year and the trailer will be released just on time. In an interview with DNA, when Kabir Khan was asked about the same, the filmmaker clearly said that he doesn’t believe in those extended periods of marketing. He further added: As long as you are able to get your message out and tell people you are coming on a certain date, it’s more than enough.
What makes Tubelight special is that Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a cameo and we will get to see both the Khans together on screen after a gap of almost 10 years. Not only this, the film also marks the Bollywood debut of Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, who will also fly down to India to promote the film.
Recently, the distribution rights fo Tubelight were sold for a whopping Rs 200 crore and the music rights are acquired by Sony Music for Rs 20 crore. While we are all geared up for Salman’s Eid release, Sunny Deol’s Bhaiyyaji Superhitt is also releasing on the same date. Well, it will be interesting to see Sunny and Salman fight it out at the Box Office.
