Post Harvey Weinstein, these 12 powerful men of Hollywood were accused of sexual harassment

In Hollywood, a sense of fear has taken over, with almost everyone wondering who will be the next to be accused of sexual misconduct?

It’s been little over a month since the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal exploded into public view. After multiple women, including actresses like Rose McGowan, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd, accused the Hollywood mogul of sexual misconduct, similar allegations have been levelled against some of the most powerful men in the industry.

More women from the industry who found it extremely difficult to remain silent, have spoken up against at least 10 powerful men from Hollywood.

Here’s a list of the high-profile men in Hollywood including Weinstein’s brother Bob and Hollywood actors Charlie Sheen and Kevin Spacey who have been accused of sexual harassment in the post-Weinstein era.

Ben Affleck:

As soon as the Weinstein controversy broke out, Ben Affleck, who has a long association with the producer, condemned the incidents and said he was shocked. But soon Ben too found himself on the other side of the table with Weinstein when actress Hillary Burton spoke about the actor groping her in the middle of an interview in the early 2000s. Hillary said she was a child back then and was taken aback by his behaviour. Soon Ben apologised to Burton for his inappropriate behaviour. Soon, make-up artist Annamarie Tendler said she would also like him to apologise to her for he groped her at a Golden Globes party in 2014.

Anthony Rapp, a Broadway veteran, accused the House of Cards star of sexually harassing him when he was 14. Kevin Spacey was quick to respond and said he might have been drunk and chose to come out of the closet. How Spacey handled the allegations, using it as an excuse to come out, was slammed by many on social media. While Netflix cancelled the popular show House Of Cards, Christopher Plummer replaced Spacey in All the Money in the World. In an unprecedented step, Spacey’s scenes from the completed film will be reshot with Plummer. Apart from Rapp, Harry Dreyfuss, an actor and son of Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss, accused Spacey of groping him back in 2008.

Louis CK

Emmy-award winning comedian Louis C.K. was accused of sexual misconduct by at least 5 women. The incidents happened almost 15 years ago, and Louis’ publicist said in a statement that he would not comment on the matter. But Louis spoke on the matter saying all the allegations are true. A part of his statement read:

These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was O.K. because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly.

Now fresh reports suggest Gal Gadot, who essayed the role of Wonder Woman, has said she would be a part of the sequel only when Brett’s association with the project will end.
