Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal finally hit the theatres and has gathered mixed to negative response so far. The film has been criticised for not having a good script and a well-defined narrative. Responding to the onslaught of poor reviews of the film SRK said, he doesn’t prefer to recreate the magic on screen that he had done in the past.
Responding to the question while promoting JHMS, Shah Rukh said “I think he would not like to recreate that magic that he has done in the past. This one has a new magic. It’s a new trick. Maybe just the newness of it is going to take some time for people to understand the magic of the film. Working with Imtiaz was quite magical.”
Sharing his mind SRK further added, “Succeeded and failed at both. So, I understood that I can’t even try to recreate the magic. Take Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, for example. I have worked with Aditya Chopra again. Me and Anushka have (in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi). But there will never be another DDLJ.”

“So every writer or director does not want to go back to the same magic because he/she does not know how it was created.”
Jab Harry Met Sejal failed to show any sort of growth in collections on Sunday, collecting in the range of Rs 15 to 16 crore, and took the weekend total to Rs 45 crore. The SRK-Anushka film was off to a decent start at the Box Office, however, did not witness any growth in collections over the weekend.
