Has Ranbir Kapoor replaced Amitabh Bachchan as host of Kaun Banega Crorepati?

If reports are to be believed Ranbir Kapoor is likely to replace Shahenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

After Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor might replace the Amitabh Bachchan as the host of the popular Television show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. Yes, as shocking as it may sound, as per several reports, Ranbir Kapoor will soon step in Big B’s shoes as the host of KBC.

Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting the show since it began in the year 2000 but was replaced by Shah Rukh Khan in 2007 only to return back as the host in the next year. If Ranbir Kapoor does host this show, this will be considered as his Television debut. However, there has no official confirmation in this regard, either from the makers of the show or the actor himself.

Kaun Banega Crorepati which is the Indian version of the Amercian show, ‘Who wants to be a millionaire?’ became an instant hit soon after it hit the television screens of millions. In fact, Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire was also based on Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor has recently finished shooting his upcoming Bollywood movie, Jagga Jasoos opposite, Katrina Kaif.

The trailer of the film was released in December last year and the whole 2-minute video was without any dialogues, giving a feel of jungle safari. The story of Jagga Jasoos is based on Ranbir’s journey and his will to find his missing father. Soon he meets Katrina and they both embark upon the adventurous journey.

While, if at all these reports are true we cannot wait Ranbir Kapoor sitting opposite the hotseat quizzing the common man, Neddless to say, we are terribly going to miss Amitabh Bachchan’s Deviyon aur Sajjanon.
